A TOUCH OF CHILDREN'S THEATRE
MUSIC THEATRE PROGRAMS
Our Music Theatre training programs are offered to students 7 years and older. We concentrate on smaller sized groupings to give individual attention and instruction. Acting, voice & choreography are all intertwined in each of our programs. Our staff is of professional quality holding BFA, BA, & MA degrees. Education and teaching the true art of Music Theatre is our passion.
*****Look for on going programs specific to age & level. Younger students can be involved in cabaret style training, small group intensives and complete shows.
SUMMER THEATRE PROGRAM
In the year 2000, “A Touch of Children’s Theatre” was introduced. Such shows as Annie, JR, Aladdin KIDS, Legally Blonde, JR, High School Musical, JR, Into the Woods, JR, Spelling Bee, Nunsense, Godspell JR, Fame, JR to name a few, have given our students the opportunity to train in music theatre each summer. We buy the rights to these educational programs and put together a full production. The show is fully staged with sets and technical aspects. We give back to the community each year by donating ticket proceeds of our shows to a sick child in need.
A Touch of Children’s Theatre begins with auditions, merely for placement. Each child who auditions is given a part in the show. We hold our number to an average of 25-35 students participating. Staff includes Vocal Director, Scene Director, Choreographers along with Technical staff. Community Sponsorships are available to raise tuition for each cast member along with scholarship opportunities.
MUSIC THEATRE INTENSIVES
6 week programs run throughout the year, divided by age groups. Students are taught audition skills, work on their individual vocal technique, and are given acting training according to level. At the end of each program, students perform in our Black Box space for an invited audience to showcase their hard work.
It is our passion & commitment to continuously bring in Guests Artists to give our students the latest training the performing arts field offers. Keep an eye out for special guest master classes and more throughout the year.
